Tammy Dee Barbee (nee Adams), born January 11, 1967, lost her battle with cancer on Friday, August 9, 2019. She was a lifelong resident of Elyria and graduated from Elyria West High School in 1985.
She worked for Ames True Temper and was a Loss Prevention Specialist for different retail and grocery stores. She loved to shop and collect souvenirs, especially spoons from each state. Her last collection was holiday Barbie Dolls. She had a special interest in CCW, this included a special certification to carry.
She is survived by her daughter, Ciarra Barbee; son, Jeffery Barbee and a grandson Branden Crum, all of Elyria; brothers, Lloyd (Marcus) Williams (Tameca) of McDonough, Georgia, Christopher Washington of Columbus; sisters, Vernal Washington of Columbus, Wanda Washington of Elyria, Bette Mayo of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of nieces and nephews and relatives that love her dearly; two special nieces, Anisha Adams and Briauna Fenderson.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Williams; father, Lorenzo (Duke) Washington; father-in-life, Lloyd Williams; brother, Henry Adams and sister, Florence Fenderson.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 7 to 9 p.m. with funeral services Friday, August 16, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Both services will be held at Point of Grace, 6892 Lake Ave., Elyria with Pastor Vanessa Young officiating. Interment will be in Brookdale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked to donate to GoFundMe/Tammy Barbee or Brown-Robinson Funeral Home.
